Summary Central Kitchen is seeking a motivated food processor who is ready to apply knowledge and production experience, practices and processes in a fast-paced environment. The processor will assist in co-packing and food processing for our members and any tasks related to production as determined by the COO. The role of food processor is to aid in the creation of craft food products for local companies and process locally grown fruits and vegetables for schools and food service that are safe and to the outlined specifications. Department Operations Reports to Zac Rheinberger Hours Full Time, 1st shift Compensation Starting at $12/hour Food Processor Duties and Requirements Food production for members at our Food Hub co-packing facility Proper cleaning/sanitation Washing/preparing food Operation of food processing equipment Processing hot foods Chopping and use of knives or blades Trash removal Participation in on the job trainings in food safety by Central Kitchen, FDA, ODA, Department of Health passing any applicable testing to obtain food processing certifications that are required by Central Kitchen Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Must sign a Non-disclosure agreement Ability to follow written recipes Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Preferred Skills Leadership Culinary or food production background Experience with Google Business Suite Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Good verbal communication skills
